Carol Malia to host and Sunshine Fund chosen as official charity
The organisers of the North East Accountancy Awards are delighted to announce Carol Malia, BBC Look North presenter, as the host of the prestigious awards ceremony taking place at the Hilton NewcastleGateshead on Thursday 13th June.
As well as attracting support from a number of local businesses the awards are proud to show their support for the community by raising money for a local charity. This year’s chosen official charity will be the Sunshine Fund. The Sunshine Fund enhances the lives of the region’s children with disabilities by supplying specialist equipment and learning aids. "We are delighted to be the chosen charity for these prestigious local awards. I am looking forward to introducing our work to a new audience whilst also obtaining an insight into the world of Accountancy." reflects Caroll Pattison, Fund Director of the Sunshine Fund on their involvement.
The awards celebrate the best of the North East finance industry and offer recognition for achievement for those voted as leaders in their field. Businesses from across the region from all industries can get involved and nominate their finance teams or individuals for an award. The awards also offer a fantastic opportunity for local companies to have an official involvement with the Awards via various sponsorship opportunities.
