North East Accountancy Awards 2013 - Winners Announced!

Massive congratulations to all 12 winners of the Nigel Wright North East Accountancy Awards 2013!
Last week saw 400 of the region's most influential finance and accounting individuals and companies attend the 7th annual North East Accountancy Awards at Hilton NewcastleGateshead. The evening, hosted by BBC Look North's Carol Malia, proved to be a huge success in celebrating the very best of North East accountancy and finance.

Business Finance Team of the Year - Balfour Beatty Worksmart
Tax Advisor of the Year - Paul Price, KPMG LLP
Corporate Finance Deal of the Year - PwC
Independent Firm of the Year - Evolution Business & Tax Advisors LLP
Public Sector Finance Team of the Year - Cleveland Police
Finance Director of the Year - Michael Brodie, NHS Business Services Authority
Branch of the Year - PwC
Accounting and Finance Employer of the Year - NHS Business Services Authority
The Outstanding Achievement Award, sponsored by Title Sponsor, Nigel Wright Recruitment, was awarded to Robert Forrester.
The After Dinner Keynote for the evening was delivered by Paul Walker, former CEO of The Sage Group, who shared his experiences of his time with The Sage Group, how business has evolved in such a short time, and the digital age.
The Awards also managed to raise a recording breaking £6,380 for Supporting Charity, The Sunshine Fund, with Barclays also generously offering to fund match.
