National Account Manager

£50,000 to £65,000 / Leeds / Jun 9, 2017

Successful UK arm of global manufacturer and distributor of product/materials, used mainly in household, office and retail furniture and fittings, requires National Account Manager.


Effectively managing and growing sales, maximising potential opportunities, executing effective account development plans and ensuring the business established as the preferred supplier to its customers, you will:
 

  • Achieve set sales budget targets
  • Drive SKU profitability, promotional profitability and overall account profitability
  • Deliver incremental sales through new product listings, promotions plans, secondary location and category management
  • Control cost and monitor of personal expenditure
  • Identify new business and new product opportunities
  • Own an account plan that drives strategy for a rolling 3 year period
  • Managing ranges in accounts to ensure stocking levels
  • Ensure account contracts are legally binding and up to date

You will offer/be an:

  • Maturity and experience to manage at National Account Level, involving the handling of senior account relationships - experienced buyers/sales managers
  • Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focussed and priority driven
  • Excellent personal negotiation/selling skills
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills - promotes and sells persuasively
  • Computer literate, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to make sound commercial decisions
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Understanding of marketing principles and an ability to understand and interpret market analysis
