Service Manager

£30,000 to £50,000 / Carlisle / Mar 5, 2020

A family-owned business established for over 50 years, our client has a strong, long-standing reputation for supplying quality capital equipment, servicing and parts throughout the North of England and the Scottish Borders.  Highly committed to their customers, they are focused on providing excellent customer service and support, and are currently looking to recruit a Service Manager to their flagship site. 

As Service Manager of an outstanding team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring strong customer satisfaction and providing excellent customer service
  • Managing all aspects of the Service department, developing staff, systems and processes
  • Building strong, long-standing customer relationships
  • Overseeing a team of Technicians, Service Advisors and Workshop Controller
  • Carrying out review meetings - reporting on and improving on Department performance - developing new sales opportunities, maximising the profitability of sales of parts and labour
  • Quality assurance
  • Managing warranty coverage
  • Working with other departmental managers
As Service Manager you’ll need:
  • An exceptional, successful track record within a Service Manager role, ideally gained in dealership type environment, managing maintaining and repairing equipment or vehicles
  • Strong leadership and people management skills as your primary focus
  • A desire to drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst motivating and managing the whole team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A high degree of IT literacy

OTE of £50,000 (basic c.£30,000) plus excellent company benefits, including pension scheme.
