Tax Associate


Established and growing national professional services firm specialising in innovative tax solutions seeks to recruit qualified Tax Associate(s) to their team to newly created roles arising thanks to increasing workload and planned strategy for continued development. Based centrally, at the hub of activity in North East of England, you will work within a team of talented professionals for a diverse range of clients in sectors including private practice, industry, technology, retail and media, from entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals to owner managed businesses, larger enterprises and group companies.


As Tax Associate, you will be responsible for:


Maintaining and being responsible for your own portfolio of clients in respect of which the firm is engaged to provide tax advisory assistance and as part of the wider tax advisory team

Providing advice on a range of tax advisory projects including:

- assisting clients with the implementation of any associated arrangements

- assisting clients and their advisers with any related compliance requirements from both an accounting and tax perspective

- assisting clients and their advisers in dealing with any related enquiries that HM Revenue & Customs may raise

- managing client and adviser queries from a technical, practical and commercial perspective

Working directly with both Directors and Associate Directors of the firm to deliver the diverse and innovative range of tax solutions to clients and their advisers

Developing and growing professional relationships with both clients and advisers across the UK through effective and efficient account management

Developing your skill set (both technically and commercially) to ensure successful career development


As Tax Associate, you will offer:


• Strong practical knowledge of taxation and general accounting, with most recent employment in a similar Tax Associate, Tax Adviser or Tax Accountant-type role i.e. personal and corporate, compliance and advisory work

• ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT/AAT qualified

• Superb communication and interpersonal skills

• Desire to progress and make a positive contribution to an already thriving practice


Rewards:


Salary c.£30,000 - £45,000 + benefits

To secure maximum specified pay/rewards, you must possess all outlined higher level qualifications, experience, skills and knowledge
